The Regulations Division (FAA.gov) issues Legal Interpretations that answer questions on the FARs posed by various people and operators. These questions are far-ranging, but could be essential in keeping you out of legal trouble. Many of these Interpretations afford Affirmative Defenses in certificate actions. You can go to the FAA's website and in the search field put "Legal Interpretations". The Regulations Division window opens and you will find a search block if you scroll down. It asks for a Keyword and a Date Range. You can explore "Maintenance", or "FAR 43", or "Seat Repair", or "Inspection Authorization", and the like. There are some 216 Interpretations. You may find them essential in the future!
